NHS England has launched a new webpage to give updates on the cyber attack.

It also includes FAQs for the public.

What is Synnovis?

Synnovis is a partnership involving SYNLAB UK & Ireland, Guy’s and St Thomas’, and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts.

What is the impact of the attack?

This attack is affecting services at Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, and primary care services in southeast London.

Unfortunately, some operations and procedures which rely more heavily on pathology services have been postponed, and blood testing is being prioritised for the most urgent cases, meaning patients have had phlebotomy appointments cancelled.

Patients should attend their appointments unless notified otherwise. Emergency care is still available; call 999 for emergencies and 111 for other health needs.

NHS England has deployed a cyber incident response team, which is working round the clock to support Synnovis and provide emergency guidance, as well as coordinating with health services across the capital to minimise disruption to patient care.

Where can you find updates?

Updates will be provided to patients and the public about service impacts and care options.

The government’s National Cyber Security Centre and Cyber Operations team are assisting in understanding and addressing the incident. NHS providers have business continuity plans in place to handle such incidents, including mutual aid support.

Visit the South East London Integrated Care System website for up to date information.
