Healthwatch Lambeth Marks World Mental Health Day
We marked World Mental Health Day by hosting an "Our Minds Our Rights" workshop with a range of speakers.
We marked this year's World Mental Health Day by hosting an "Our Minds Our Rights" workshop at St Matthew's Church in Brixton on Wednesday 18 October.
Our speakers:
- Sarah Corlett, Healthwatch Lambeth Chair, on mental health as a universal human right, and the importance of having access to good quality services and care,
- Anna D'Agostino, Healthwatch Lambeth Engagement Officer, on mental health resilience,
- Raks Patel, Healthwatch Lambeth Projects and Engagement Manager, on the 5 Ways to Wellbeing,
- Rosie Trustram, Centre 70, on their varied range of peer support services, and
- Caspar Kennerdale, ClearCommunityWeb, on the importance of connection, highlighting their Digital Skills workshops enabling people to connect online.
Workshop participants were able to network, learn from each other and take away information about local services and groups. The event was very well received.
